Somehow we are into October and our conference and exhibition in Cardiff next month seems very, very close.
Welcome back to the first issue of Network after our summer break. For many of us, this week is the first full working week back so I hope you all had a great summer and are full of enthusiasm for a busy and productive autumn.
Welcome to our second issue this month. As always we have lots to keep us busy in the people and healthcare world. Whilst the junior doctors’ contract negotiations and accompanying industrial action has been challenging we have now reached a point where decisions have been made and we can focus on implementing the contract in the best way we can in our organisations.
Dear HPMA Members, Partners and Supporters
Happy 2016 for what I believe will be an exciting year for HPMA. I hope you all had a chance to recharge and enjoy some festive cheer since our last newsletter.
Firstly, in the custom of APPRECIATE, thank you as always for your commitment and contributions to ensure good people management in your organisations to enable better healthcare outcomes for our patients.
Dear Members, VPs, Partners and Colleagues
We are entering a new, important and exciting time in the life of HPMA. When I became President in April I realised how much HPMA had grown and wanted to ensure HPMA had a firm foundation in terms of organisation form, effective governance and use of resources to grow and develop further. This is critical to fulfil our core purpose to improve the nation's health through the development of people management; and provide the most benefit to all our members.
